Official Statement of United Mapuans
February 23, 2005 10:00 p.m.

We were praying that it won't come to this point, but the situation has dictated it. It is now time to show what Mapuans are made of. The official statement of Dr. Reynaldo Vea, our school president, says “management will be taking time to study various other alternatives..” It was worst than saying no or yes. Our ultimatum has elapsed without a definite answer from Dr. Vea. We gave them more than enough time.

Tomorrow we will make our last stand. Tomorrow, we will make history and fight for Mapua Institute of Technology. Tomorrow, we will show the whole nation, that we, students and alumni of MIT will not let anyone, even a gargantuan corporation, to just come over and kill MIT. We will fight, we will make our stand, and we will make our voices heard.

WE ARE MAPUANS. MAPUANS WE LIVE, MAPUANS WE WILL DIE.
